Ecocern real 100% post-consumer recycled brown paper is actually made from the paper scrap we painstakingly put out for recycling and industrial paper scrap.  This paper contains no wood chip at all and all stages of production do not even involve any native forest wood chipper. Brown kraft paper that is not recycled is made at the Gippsland mill in the Victorian native forest . The lighter coloured brown thin paper is made there from the near by forest or what is left of it. The only other paper mill in Australia that makes brown is the Tumit Visy mill that makes paper from pine plantations. This is thicker high strength paper with long fiber very suitable for making strong cardboard cartons. It is also good when recycled to improve recycled paper strength. All the other Visy mills make various grades of paper . The 110 GSM recycled brown paper is made by Australian Paper that is owned by Nippon Daishou one of the worlds worst native forest wood chippers. The paper from this mill has some post-consumer recycled scrap content. The mills that; real 100% post-consumer recycled gray brown paper and cardboard are made are owned by Visy in Australia. FALSE AND TRICK WORDING RECYCLED CLAIMS

We are subjected to numerous false and trick wording recycled claims. Just a few of these claims are: “Use recycled brown paper bags”. This does not mean the thin brown paper bag it is printed on is recycled at all. Often these bags are imported from China where anything goes. “Recyclable”  that means the product can be recycled. All products can be recycled. “100% Australian. Recycled Paper”. This is on white copy paper made by Nippon Daishou in the Gippsland paper mill . So it does not mean 100% recycled nor it it 100% Australian as made by a foreign company. Be ware of FSC false claims.
